Play corner

Here's a few shots of Lawrence's play corner. He visits his side of the room quite often, even during his bedtime, he sometimes sneaks out of his bed without me seeing and with a big naughty smile on his face, he grabs his favorite book and brings it with him back to bed. He has a big collection of books in Portuguese and English and goes over them at least once a day.Such a smart cookie!

The cutest munchkins

Yes, they love each other and they have their special way of showing it. Ha! Lawrence loves having a new friend as before he was the only baby around so he showers little Jamie with lots of hugs, cuddles and bites. His own version of affection. ha,ha!

Sleep in Heavenly peace!

Here's a couple of my favorite pictures daddy took of Lawrence during Christmas when he was taking his nap. Such tranquility and peacefulness... and with daddy's artistic eye it made it all the better. Soooo adorable!

today i went snowboarding with some friends, first time and let me tell you it was painful.....but oh soooo fun!! In the end had to unlearn everything i knew about surfing and start anew but by the end of the day i was going down, jumping and turning on a beginners slope without crashing too much, ha!

and more pics...

And here is the whole gang together. Yes we all had a shower of champagne and we're refreshed for the rest of the party. Lucky me I had Sam to protect me of getting totally drenched. Ha!

Nick and I

Phantom of the New Year

Nick dressed as the Phantom of the Opera and he was quite authentic!

Phantom of the New Year

Our New Years party was a hit and we had quite a few people visiting. Some came from as far as Hungary and Poland to participate and visit us for a few weeks. We where also expecting the guys from Germany to come but there was a last minute change of plans and they weren't able to make it this time. It was to be a Venetian party but in the end the focus was to try to be original as possible with the masks. We had people dressed and masked in all shapes and forms and in the end we couldn't even recognize who they were. Ha! Even Lawrence had a blast and participated at the party till 11Pm. I left him for a while with my brother JM and I went to get ready. When I came back with my mask on he didn't even recognize me and was staring nonchalantly at me. Only after I open my mouth and he heard the sound of my voice did he recognize that it was mommy and jumped right into my arms. A big thank you to Tabitha, Nick, Mark David and all those who organized, DJ ed and planned the games. It was such a blast!
HAPPY 2008 TO EVERYONE!

Welcome to our world

It's been more then a year that I've wanted to start a blog and create our space in the cyber world, and now better then ever with our son being over a year old and turning to be quite the independent little fellow, I have more time on my hands. This site is dedicated to our family and friends to keep you updated of the latest: what we've been up too, places we visit, pictures of our family and other interesting things we may think up.

Enjoy,

Nick, Joanna and Lawrence
